Join us as we welcome poet Alan Herman! Alan is a native New Yorker who
splits his time between city life and a farmhouse upstate. He is a visual artist as
well, and exhibits his sculptures and paintings widely. He is a recipient of a
National Endowment for the Arts grant. His most recent collection of poems was
released in January of 2010. It is titled "To Whom It May Concern."
Friday, September 3rd at 7-8 pm
Downtown Oneonta's Fabulous Fridays are about to get
even more fabulous as we welcome Liza DiSavino and
A.J. Bodnar as our musical guests! Come on in and listen to
old folk melodies of the Catskills that they've gathered
from old collections, interviews and recordings.
Thursday, September 9th at 7 pm
Mary Bright Carr is our visiting author on this early September evening. She
will be discussing and signing copies of her novel "With The Tide," a story
about the power of memory and how it ultimately finds us wherever we go.
Thursday, September 16th at 7 pm
Lesley A. Diehl's novel "A Deadly Draught," a story of microbrewing and
murder will satisfy anyone's thirst! Add some romance and you've got a real
six-pack of suspense! Come listen to Lesley read from her book and sign copies.
Thursday, September 23th at 7 pm
Thomas Pullyblank visits the store to discuss his two historical novels
"Cornflower's Ghost" and his newest work (to-be-published) "Napoleon's
Gold." "Cornflower's Ghost" grad student Tom Flanagan seeks answers about
two murders - one, a present day history professor, the other, a revolutionary war
hero. In "Napoleon's Gold," the character Tom Flanagan is back, this time
delving into the mystery of Napoleon's lost gold in the treacherous channels of
the Thousand Islands. Imagine doing that and facing your past!
